Winter Nights
A winter’s softer night abrades the human,
Alone to release of skin,
Once stripped away
Following the red,
The woods, dunes, ground
Fading into shadow disappears,
Only the sky and water left
Speaking in whispers to each other,
Out past that long blue line
We go unseen.
Alone to release of skin,
Once stripped away
Following the red,
The woods, dunes, ground
Fading into shadow disappears,
Only the sky and water left
Speaking in whispers to each other,
Out past that long blue line
We go unseen.
Winter Nights
Winter is a time for dreams hidden inside the subdued landscape. Life goes inward and underground - just beneath that surface life still flows at a quieter pace; above the surface is our need for warmth and light. Night Fires is a look at the element of fire against the chill of winter. Looking above into the darkest winter skies – Aurora is the light arching into our dreams, the promise of the return of sun and heat, even in the middle of the longest night. Bare tree limbs in the reflection of an angel and town images complete this winter reverie with a look at our need to find a deeper sense of home at this time of year; how easily we pass between that simple comfort into other worlds.
